this past monday was my two year wedding anniversary to my wonderful husband. i cannot believe that time has flown by so fast! this year seemed harder to figure out what exactly we wanted to do and when we could find time to do it. between working and my husband studying for the bar exam in july, things have been a little crazy around here to say the least.
so being the foodies that we are dinner always sounds like a plan. i will talk more about that in another blog later this week that highlights Des Moines' foodie culture with the intro being found
here.
but let's continue on....year one | paper + year two | cotton. we combined these both this year. for the paper aspect, my sister got us a memory card game made out of round, little pieces of recycled paper. One side has photos from our wedding day and the other has our initials. i am a total sucker for memory games - i always win :)

why we love it | put together an album of all of your favorite photos from your wedding day and display them in a hard covered book on your coffee or end table for guests to enjoy (*your photographer usually offers this option too)

why we love it | you can totally customize every inch of it with a pattern, a favorite photo, glitter - whatever you want. these watercolor ones always amaze me. totally want!

for the home
why we love it | there are so many great websites out there now for you to choose from/make your own artwork to display in your home. Pick one of your travels, family, engagement, etc. there are no rules (*your photographer usually offers this option as well)
why we love it | throw blankets to keep warm, stylize or cuddle with. there are so many to choose from to fit anyone's style when it comes to color, pattern, texture, weight - it's endless
why we love it | throw pillows - enough said! i have so many and they are super easy to change up the look in any room of the house. switch them out for the holidays, seasons or just use them to liven things up. it's always great to have a few favorites that never change
personalized towels or robes
why we love it | cotton tea towel - add some fun to your kitchen or bathroom, tons of designs
why we love it | so comfy, so luxe - you can even have them monogrammed. think of these as taking care of (and pampering) yourself
fashion
why we love it | paper cuff links - fun and unexpected. initials, maps of where you have been, patterns, etc.
why we love it | go shopping! who doesn't love that?! this whole outfit it cotton, the earrings are cotton and the bow tie is cotton. i know that i always love getting a new scarf or jewelry; whether it is from someone as a gift or from me to me
