Leather Anniversary

My husband and I are celebrating our third wedding anniversary this week, also known as the leather anniversary.  We aren't huge gift givers for our anniversary since we are usually doing a mini vacation for our anniversary.  Or, as is the case the last two yeas, completing a major project on our home.  At the very least, we always take the day off to make sure we can spend it together, even if it is doing nothing.

nursery inspiration

i know i've been a little absent lately, but a week ago today, we welcomed a beautiful baby girl into the world!  more photos to come of the little princess :)

but today, i have a few photos of the nursery!  i wanted it to be girly, but not completely all pink and frills, so i stuck to a coral/gray/gold color scheme.  enjoy!

lately we have been all about anything baby (thank you Emma) and lucky for us, Lacey C. Schroeder Photography has captured a stunning maternity session! this photographer, based in Ames, IA, is definitely someone to keep an eye out for. she is so sweet and her style is nothing less than perfection. did we mention that her work is stunning?!

this maternity session was for the beautiful Kayse Schulz, one of the owners of Pure Bridal (who recently just had her adorable little girl Thea). it was photographed at McFarland Park in Ames, and the way Lacey captures the light in these photos is beyond amazing - we are so excited to feature her! not only are her photos pure art, but she is lovely both inside and out (i get to work with both of these amazing ladies)! enjoy these lovelies...

Fall Scarf Love

It seems cooler temps have set in over the past few days.  This makes my heart happy for so many reasons.  Perhaps my favorite thing about fall is getting to wear scarves (football is a close second).  A girl can never have too many scarves!  Here are just a few gorgeous examples to consider adding to your wardrobe for this fall!
